Julian Ramos Gutierrez, 94, of Indio, CA, went home to be with his savior, Jesus Christ on July 15, 2025, at his home, where he was surrounded by his loving family.
Julian (better known as Papa) was born August 19, 1930, in Guadalajara, Mexico, son of the late Santiago Gutierrez and Maria Ramos Gutierrez.
Growing up in Guadalajara, he developed a strong work ethic and a strong love for his family. He was the youngest of his siblings but took on great responsibility for his family as a young child after his dad's passing, always making sure his mother and his siblings were taken care of.

A loving husband to Lupe Gutierrez, Julian was a pillar of strength and support for his family. They raised 12 children. Together they had four children: Freddy Gutierrez, Santiago Gutierrez, Julianito Gutierrez, and Maria Gutierrez. They selflessly and lovingly took on the responsibility of raising their granddaughters Lupe Gutierrez and Stephanie Gutierrez since birth.
He was a devoted father, always there to offer love and support. He worked to the sweat of his brow to provide for his family. His great joy was raising his family on a ranch.

Julian had many things he was passionate about, he loved gardening, cooking, boxing and soccer. He cherished His family, Above all His faith, He loved God and shared of His goodness with everyone.
He was an amazing man with incredible strength and so much wisdom. His love for his family was unfailing, his support was ever consistent and his door was always open to anyone. His love felt like home.

He is survived by his daughter, Maria Gutierrez, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He has left behind a beautiful legacy and prayers that will cover his family for generations to come.

A service to celebrate the life of Julian Gutierrez, will be held on Thursday August 21st at 11:00 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 45299 Deglet Noor St, Indio, CA 92201. All are welcome to share in honoring such a great man.
