It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin, friend & soon-to-be wife, Jayme Cristeen Wiersma, on Monday, August 26, 2024. She was 35 years young.

Born on December 7, 1988, in Lakewood, CA to John C. Wiersma and Vicki Fox Wiersma Haeberle. Jayme brought joy and light to everyone she met. She had a vibrant spirit, a contagious laugh, and a heart full of love and kindness. Jayme was known for living life to the fullest, enjoyed spending time outdoors, taking the boat out on the lake and socializing with friends and relatives and her motto was, "live life, don't let life live you." Jayme recently took up an interest in cooking, had an incredible artistic talent, and was excited to be planning her dream wedding in March of 2025 after becoming engaged last year to Ronald. Her kindness to everyone she met was unconditionally filled with love and genuine compassion.

Jayme attended Palm Desert High School and graduated from Horizon High School in 2007. She attended the International School of Beauty in Palm Desert and fulfilled her dream of becoming a licensed esthetician.  Jayme was also passionate about the hospitality industry. Her enthusiasm as a server for the past 15+ years inspired those around her.

Jayme is survived by her mother and step-father, Vicki (Fox) Haeberle & Allan Haeberle, her fiancé Ronald Simpson, sisters Liz Knight (Brunks) & Lacey Cross (Wiersma), brother Clint Wiersma, step-brother David Haeberle, step-sister Lynea Haeberle-Scott, nephew Derrek Schmitz, nieces Chloe Hillhouse, Kate & Elise Haeberle and Josie Cross, along with her Aunts Janis Engels, Mary Devine and Kim Wiersma, and many cousins who will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, love, and the special bond they shared. She also leaves behind many friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.

A service to celebrate Jayme's life will be held on Friday, September 20th, 2024 @ 12:00PM at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Palm Desert, CA, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life gathering in Reception Hall adjacent to the church. Jayme will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made on our lives will last forever.
