Corina Acosta, known affectionately as Tejana Nana, passed away on September 18, 2023, in Indio, CA, at the age of 69. She was born on March 14, 1954, in El Paso, Texas, United States. Corina was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, always holding a special place in her heart for everyone. Her hospitable and friendly nature left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.

Corina had a passion for sports and enjoyed watching baseball and hockey with her family. In her free time, she found joy in cooking, reading, and playing with her grandchildren. Her warm and nurturing presence made her a beloved figure in their lives.

Corina leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her children: Beatrice Acosta, Manuel Acosta, Jesus Centeno (Hana), Isaac Soria (Jessica), Elizabeth Soria (Jose), her sisters Julia Sanchez (Odilon), Maggie Acosta, Rosalia Nelson (Mark), brother Narciso Acosta, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Angel Acosta Sr., mother Magdalena Acosta, brother Raymundo Acosta, brother Ramon Acosta, sister Rosa Maria Hernandez, brother Angel Acosta Jr., brother Armando Acosta, and brother Carlos Acosta.

Corina's educational journey began at John Kelley Elementary and continued at Coachella Valley High School. She later pursued a career as a Traffic Control Programmer at Gulf California Broadcasting.

A Mass in memory of Corina will be held at Our Lady of Soledad, located at 52980 Cesar Chavez St. Coachella, CA 92236. After the Mass, a visitation will take place at Casillas Funeral Home, situated at 85891 Grapefruit Blvd. Coachella, CA 92236. The compassionate staff at Casillas Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Corina Acosta will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
